one of the best things about chuys is their jalapeno ranch dip. it's so delicious.
one of the worst things about living in kc is not having a chuys.
clay found a recipe online that claimed to be chuys jalapeno ranch.
so i made it.
thought i'd share it with you.
ingredients
1 quart mayo
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup chopped jalapeno
1 cup green tomatillo sauce
1/2 a bunch of cilantro, chopped
3 (1 ounce) packets of dry ranch dressing mix
directions
1. mix first 5 ingredients in blender until smooth
2. stir in ranch mix with a whisk
3. chill and serve
beware...this makes a lot! they're not joking about serving 28.
we decided to use sour cream instead of mayo. next time i might use half mayo and half sour cream. it was a little thicker than normal.
it was really good and almost the same as the real thing. i'd make it again...it was a hit.
