sEw eAsY, sEw cuTe

as you know, my nesting/creative instincts have been in high gear lately.
over the christmas break i got crafty.
my friends jami and lindsay inspired me.
they both made the cutest bird onsies for baby girl.
i took their words of wisdom and created some boy onsies and t-shirts for gifts.

here's my incredibly cute, fat nephew max sporting his.

seriously, it's easy.
1. buy some cute fabric
2. buy some of that iron on backing stuff from hobby lobby or wherever.
3. follow the directions on the back
4. stitch around the edge for a little extra cute

since my days of being a stay at home mom are coming soon, i need some more easy, crafty projects to entertain me...

please share your favorites!

The guy wearing the tie one-sy is my favorite great grand baby until Baby Fulghum arrives. Then I will expect to see her in some of the cute outfits. Glad you have a holiday today. Also good to know that you are looking forward to doing some crafty things as a stay at home mom. You know I have a closet full of craft items and books. I have always loved doing crafts. Are we going to get a preview of the nursery prior to the arrival of the Little Miss? Love you and thinking of you often in these days just before you give us our 6th great grand. Wish I were closer.

Great idea Kristin! The onesie is so cute and so is Max! Can't wait to see more of your craftiness! Mine is limited to bows these days!

Oh Lev, sew cute! :) Here's an easy craft: woodblock frames. Take a 2x6 or 2x10 piece of wood. Use a circular saw to cut square blocks...or have the handy guys at HD do it for you. They will for free if you just ask! Pick out your favorite pieces of scrapbook paper (print cute phrase at bottom of paper if desired) and use mod podge to adhere to one side of the wood . After it dries, hot glue some cute furries and bow on narrow top of wood. Then hot glue a silver/industrial magnetic clip (paint if you wish) toward the top of the paper. Clip on your favorite pic and enjoy!

That's adorable! Did you stitch it by hand? I'm breathing much easier now that we're back in KC. How are you doing? Love you guys!!
