28 weeKs

well, first let me acknowledge the fact that i've only blogged once in two weeks.

oops.

i don't know what happened.

but i can't promise i'll get any better.

but i shall try.

okay, on to more interesting things.

28 weeks pregnant.

i would like to focus this post on one thing.

and one thing only.

hot flashes.

so when i tell people i'm due in september

i almost always get the 'oh man, you have to go through the whole summer!' thing.

i always just nod my head and smile.

with leighton i was just barely pregnant in the summer, so it didn't really effect me.

besides, i'm naturally a cold person.

i didn't think it could be that bad.

i mean, i grew up in texas for crying out loud.

28 years of my life spent in the hot.

really really hot.

and humid when you think about those 5 years i was in college station.

i know what it's like to be hot

and i would pick it any day over being cold.

until this week.

oh my freakin' word.

i know what they were talking about.

pregnancy hot is not the same as regular hot.

it's not a sweaty, i need a cold drink kind of uncomfortable.

it's a 'my body is on fire from the inside and i just might die right now' kind of uncomfortable.

maybe this is what menopause feels like.

if so, i'm sorry mom. i'll fan you through those hot flashes from now on.

i mean, thank the good Lord that i do not live in texas for this period of my life.

i don't know how anyone could survive pregnant through a texas summer.

so for now, 

bring on the fans, the ac, the sonic drinks and frappuccinos.

it's going to be a long july and august.

other than that

everything looks good.

baby is healthy and growing.

mama is huge and hot.

september can't get here fast enough.
