buSy, busY, bUsY

somehow.
without our consent.
july flew by.
i can't believe it.
we were quite the party animals.
we did some traveling and had some visitors.
and got to spend some great time
with great friends and family.

first up...
a blab reunion in arkansas.
don't ask why we went to arkansas.
we don't actually know.
but we did live it up,
ate a lot and practiced our somersaults.

second up...
rubey came to visit!
it was a grand time
with snow cones, homemade ice cream and lots of movies.

third up...
mimi and papa came to town.
it was a busy weekend
with mimi bossing everyone around
and forcing me to get things done around the house.
when they left, i was truly exhausted and leighton was truly spoiled.

fourth and finally...
a trip to houston to visit our besties!
it was a week of all things icy and cold.
snowcones, frappuccinos, sonic drinks, homemade ice cream sandwiches.
and a week of playing and enjoying something we don't get to do all that often...
live life together!
*for an amazing, well written blog post with lots of details and pictures
check out annalee's post.

we had a great month and are now getting ready for a few more crazy weekends
before we settle in for baby time!
