sO yOu miGhT sAy...

i'm officially a dog person.

if you have known me for more than two years, or if you read this post...you know this statement has not always been true.

i now ooh and aah over cute dogs i see. I cry when dogs die in movies. and i like when lucy cuddles with me.

don't worry...we won't, nor will we ever, cuddle in bed.

so, i thought it was about time for a little lucy update.

last time you saw her, she looked like this...

i know, cute right?

well, she's about 20 pounds heavier now and quite a bit crazier.

lucky for us, she is potty trained and she can't fit under the seat of the car anymore (see above link if you don't know what i'm speaking of).

here's what lucy lou looks like now...

we sure do love her, but holy moly is she a dynamite. i'm a little worried about how it's going to be when baby arrives. lou lou won't even be a year yet. yikes!

anyways

lucy goosey is now a puppy obedience school graduate.

here's the pic to prove it.

oh, that's right...she's wearing a graduation cap.

lucy now knows how to...
sit
stay
down
leave it
gotcha
heel...kind of

she knows the words...
outside
car
kennel

she loves...
ice, she comes running immediately when she hears the ice maker.
biting clay
any little kid...a little too much sometimes
barking at people & dogs that walk past our house...she's so protective
going out the kitty door into the garage

she does not...
ever get tired...i mean seriously
ever lay down and sleep unless she's in her kennel
know how to play fetch
ever play rough with me...only clay

this weekend, we took her for the first time to the dog park. wow, that was an adventure. she loved it. she loves playing with other dogs and she loves people so it was heaven for her. and she actually slept on the couch for about an hour afterwards. like i said...that never happens.

here's lulu at the dog park.

so, please come to our house anytime...just be ready for a crazy puppy to jump all over you. sorry, we haven't conquered that yet...still learning.

So glad to know that you are becoming a dog person. You know how we feel about dogs at our house, so welcome to the club. She really is cute, smart, and all the things a good dog should be, I am sure. But look who her masters are! Wish we could visit in person and enjoy her with you. Schatzie sends her love. Papa and I do too. We are so excited for tomorrow to know whether #6 is needing pink or blue. Look forward to that posting!!!!

She is adorable! I also cry when dogs die in movies. I'll bet she'll think the baby is a life-size toy just for her!

oh I love it!! She is so cute! We are wanting to get a small dog for us, Mollie Kate loves anything to do with a dog! Loves them! We have a golden that is still in TN, and we have no idea on how to get him here or to find the time! Lucy is so cute!!

Oh my gosh she's soooo big! So excited you're a dog person now. Who knew you would be the one with the jumping puppy when someone walks in the door :) I love it. Love you. AND Love Lucy! :)

seriously lucy... you are too cute. even after the dog park, as a drowned rat... you are cute. i'm most impressed by your photo in a graduation cap though. i hope that is in a frame. i'd actually like a copy of it for our fridge.

it all starts with a graduation cap. then little booties. then a dog sweater, because it's cold out. then a dog t-shirt...because she already has a sweater--hello. you say you'll never do something and then you do it. huxley occasionally wears a superman tee, ok? don't judge me...

As we have said- bring lucy over more often, she's a great influence on Indie and it might actually wear her out. We love Lucy!!!

When I first read this, I thought it was "biting Clay and any little kids." I thought for a second, that our friendship might be over...
