in honor of my 28 weeks of being pregnant
i would like to share with you
my observations
and
frustrations
with maternity clothes.
i mean, obviously i'm a pro by now.
so here ya go.
1. they suck.
2. they are more expensive than non maternity clothes.
3. it is depressing to go into stores and look at the cute clothes and know that i will look
a hot mess in those outfits.
4. i thought i would never want to wear those crazy maternity/big belly band pants, but oh how i love them now. so much more comfortable.
5. those banded pants also come in handy when you have to pee every 37 minutes.
6. long, flowy shirts do not look cute when you have short legs.
7. trying on clothes whilst pregnant can make you cry.
8. and thus cause your husband to not care how much money you spend on an outfit.
8. when you are preggers, everyone around you looks really skinny.
9. it is really hard to find a LONG shirt when your belly sticks out so far.
10. accessories become very important.
i'm off to the mall to find an outfit to wear to my shower that's TODAY.

You look so cute to me, but I know I am partial. Sorry you inherited the short legs in the family from your dad and your gran. Now you know why I made all my maternity clothes when I needed them back in the dark ages. No cute ones were available in the stores. In those days we tried to hide the baby, but you guys have come a long way and are willing to show the baby off for all of us to enjoy. If you were here and I could see well, I would whip you up something. Have a blessed Sunday and remember, I love you and baby to be.

You are adorable. I always thought that maternity clothes looked SO cute on the hangers. I told my mom that and she laughed. I cried SO many times in the dressing rooms. You are almost out of those clothes and back in your cute stuff!
I don't know why you're always fretting about what you're wearing. You always look adorable!
hang in there, you are so right the clothes are terrible! but, everyone gets distracted by the belly you hate dressing around and thinks you are cute! you are doing great with the accessories, for sure, i could never rock that super cute hat!
So true! I think I broke down in the dressing room while shopping for a preggo bathing suit. Not pretty. Not pretty at all.

I, too, wanted to burn my maternity clothes upon giving birth...but I still needed them. Ha! You look great and rest up these next couple of weeks.
