and that's just what they did!
we recently returned from a fabulous 10 day vacation
to beautiful british columbia {that's in canada, in case you didn't know. you should be ashamed of yourself if you didn't know.}
my mom's family lives there
so we headed up there for a nice long vacay
and some family introductions for leighton.
i'm convinced that we walked approximately two marathons
during our stay.
we began our adventure in seattle.
and walked around the pike place fish market
and up to pioneer square.
and up to pioneer square.
we spent the next few days outside of vancouver with the family.
we did lots of hiking.
the first hike of the trip took place on "little mountain".
{i'm not sure if that's the real name or just what my family called it}
my grandpa is serious about his hiking...see his fancy walking sticks?
we hiked up bridal falls...absolutely, amazingly beautiful.
we walked around a cute little beach.
i mean...mountains + water = perfection.
clay & i took a mini vacay inside our vacation.
we left miss priss with the fam and headed into vancouver for a couple days.
we added many miles to our shoes
and walked the streets of vancouver.
including the lovely sidewalks of stanley park.
then we returned to the country side {okay, it's not that country like}
and did some more hiking.
at the risk of sounding repetitive...
gorgeous!
one more day of seattle sight seeing and shopping
while mimi & papa watched leighton.
i think leighton liked all of our walking as much as we did.
we had a wonderful time on our vacation
seeing absolutely beautiful scenery
and visiting the super fun canada family.
leighton was just a tad spoiled
and is going through detox right now.
thanks brouwers for a wonderful time!

Kristen,
Leighton is absolutely precious! She always is so alert and wide eyed in your pictures. Glad you guys had fun and got to have a little time away.
Fun trip! It is so gorgeous there. I am sure your parents are going through detox (Leighton withdrawals) too.
i mean, are people who live in canada all super skinny? that is an absurd amount of walking!
looked like a ton of fun though...
You went to Canada, eh?
Looks like a wonderful trip!!
So glad you had such a wonderful time with the Brouwer Clan in BC. Thanks for sharing the pics. Leighton is really growing. Can't believe she will be 6 mos. soon. Your folks really enjoyed all the beauty of a wonderful vacation too, but we are glad they are safely back in Abilene. Guess you were glad to get back to you cozy little home too. Love you 3
How fun! I love it when we visited my family up in Canada - like you said, it's absolutely gorgeous up there!
I absolutely love the fact that Leighton wears bows when she hikes. My kind of girl.
Glad you had fun!!
Your trip looks so fun! OH and yes, we did move to DC about three weeks ago! Crazy right? I feel like I'm in 8th grade all over again! Leighton is getting big and she is sooo cute!
