half a year.

holy moly. has it really been half a year

since my little bitty baby was born?

apparently it has.

well here's what is going on with miss leighton.

weight.....15 lbs. 2 oz.....40th percentile

height.....26 in.....70th percentile

head.....16 3/4 in.....55th percentile

sKillS

*sitting up...she started sitting up on her own last week. hip hip hooray. it is so fun and much more convenient. she can even get herself to a sitting position from her tummy. i went to get her up from her nap the other day and she was sitting up in her crib. she had this tricky little smile on her face. 

*moving...she definitely isn't crawling yet, but she can scoot. she'll get up on all fours and then move forward a little. crawling may be in our near future!

*eating...so far she has only had sweet potatoes, green beans and rice cereal. she loves them all and the doc said it's time to eat solids for three meals a day!

*hand control...she can pick up lots of things and can definitely get the pacifier in her mouth pretty quickly these days.

*laughing...it is out of control cute these days. her daddy can make her laugh like no one else.

*the wiggles...she still has a bad case of the wiggles. i've learned to give her something to play with while i want her to lay still. it keeps her distracted for a minute at least.

*the church nursery...mom and dad get paged out of church almost every week to come soothe our screaming baby. she would definitely pick dad or mom to hold her at all times! we are working on it.

our little priss is such an active thing. she is always on the go. moving, screeching, talking, rolling. she is so much fun to be around and makes us laugh constantly.
