april has arrived.
spring is officially here.
everywhere i look, something new is blooming.
and i love it.
this weekend mimi and papa came to visit.
so did clay's brother jordan and his girlfriend mary kate.
the weather was absolutely beautiful
so we spent most of the weekend outside.
we took leighton to deana rose farmstead.
she has found her calling in life.
baby goats.
she adores them,
my dad helped clay fix our screened in porch that our crazy dog lucy
{that now lives with a different family}
ripped to shreds.
we grilled some delicious brats and enjoyed the spring weather with family.
we bought leighton a little pool for the backyard in anticipation of the long, hot summer days.
maybe her pregnant mama is the one anxiously anticipating the long, hot summer days.
and then she spent the rest of the day lounging in her bathing suit.
i look forward to many more weekends spent enjoying the spring weather.
especially now that we have a functional screened porch!

So glad you had a good weekend with your folks there. Spring does give us a lift, doesn't it? I will need a good pic of Leighton in her Easter outfit. My, she is looking so grown up these days. Guess she is just getting ready for being a Big Sis. Know we love you lots.

at first i thought that bowl was a margarita glass. that would have been funny. lounging by the pool with a beverage...
love the picture of leighton feeding the goat! i have a picture like that of myself...although, i look a lot less sophisticated than your daughter!
