ouR fiRsT tRip tO tHe zOO

on labor day, we decided we wanted to do something fun with leighton.

our life is about to get crazy

and we need to take advantage of the semi calm one child life we lead right now.

so we went to the zoo!

it was a glorious day.

highs in the 70's.

we had a blast.

waiting for the tram to take us to africa

{this pregnant mama sure was thankful for all the transportation}

looking over the rail of the chair lift at all the animals down below.

lei kept saying "up peas"

she wanted to get down and touch all the animals.

she's not really a sit on the side lines and watch kind of girl.

the morning was all about daddy walking/carrying/pushing leighton

and mommy sitting as much as possible.

the polar bear was our last stop of the day.

poor guy is a little crazy,

but we got to see him at feeding time

daddy was more entertained than leighton.

it was a fun and eventful morning

and we were all wiped out by the time we headed back to the car.

we can't wait to make another trip to the zoo!
