aMeLia: oNe moNth oLd

what a month!
i can hardly believe that amelia is a month old.
but the calendar tells me it's true.
i am so thankful for this little girl and all the joy she has brought to our house,
however, i had mostly definitely forgotten how hard newborns are.
or maybe it's harder because i'm chasing around a 20 month old as well.
or maybe it's hard because our particular newborn cries a lot.
but anyways, we love love love her.

weight...10 pounds 7 1/2 ounces...90th percentile {yes, she's a chunk!}

head circumference...15 1/8 inches...75th percentile

*eating...amelia is a good little eater. she eats every 2 to 3 hours. in the evenings a little more often.
*looking cute...that's pretty easy for her.
*making her sister happy...leighton loves her little sister.

stRuggLes
*sleeping...we have a hard time getting her to fall asleep
which can make for some long nights.
she has given me a few longer stretches, but we still have rough nights pretty often.
*bottle...she is just starting to kind of take a bottle. this mama will be happy when someone else can take a feeding.
*pacifier...just now starting to kind of take a pacifier. when you put it in her mouth she makes this ridiculous face. it's hilarious.

amelia, we love you so.
in only one short month you have managed to capture all of our hearts.
we almost can't even remember life without you!

and just for memories sake...

Ditto on Jami's comment! I am so exited for the chair progression. The chair is the perfect backdrop for your girls' magnificent hair bows!

Yes, she is precious, and I know well loved and cared for. These difficult days for you will soon be over, and I know you will once again get a full night's sleep. She reminds me of Max a little. Have you felt that? Thanks for the pics and stats. Yes, she is going to fit into this family very well. Love to Leighton.
