yesterday it snowed about seven inches.
that's a lot of snow.
school was cancelled,
which doesn't affect me like it did last year.
but it was still kind of a nice excuse to be a little lazy.
leighton and i had a great day lounging in our comfies.
here are a few pics to document our snow day fun.
we played in the kitchen
leighton successfully pulled everything out from under the sink in our bathroom while i semi got ready for the day.
yes, she may be playing with some inappropriate things...don't look too closely!
we ate some delicious grilled turkey, cheese and tomato sandwiches.
then mom enjoyed some hot tea, a cookie or two and a good book during a ridiculously short nap.
we are going through some weird nap thing
i mean, could my teeny tiny baby seriously be dropping her morning nap already?
is that possible?
a very short afternoon nap
led to much craziness in the afternoon.
but i wouldn't trade my crazy snow day with leighton
for a quiet snow day to myself
because that would mean
i had to go to work the next day!

Glad you had a great snow day with your baby girl. She looks like she had great fun. We have no snow...only cold weather. 16 again tonight with maybe snow flurries tomorrow. We do not need 7 inches! Stay warm and know we love you lots.
always love the Fiesta ware! :)
Fun stuff. And what is up with the naps?! Apparently L & C got the same memo. 20 minute naps are NOT okay! Don't you love our new jobs?! Especially the fact that we didn't have to get up and go to work this morning!
kristin, it's time to have another baby. you make the most beautiful chickens. anywho, it looks like you had a fun day! i love the picture with the tampons strewn about the bathroom.
Let's go ahead and make a deal to spend the next snow day together. We'll let the girls entertain each other and we'll watch chick flicks and pig out while they nap.
Deal?
So precious, I LOVE these days with my boys! It is freezing here as well, and we have been doing lot together inside. Oh, and both my boys dropped their morning naps really early :( Hope she is not!
Snow days are the best! Wait until she is old enough to go sledding! What a cutie.
i love your snow day report.
makes me nostalgic for a snow day back in the day when we made berkeley sleep in a cardboard box at an impromptu slumber party then sledded in laundry baskets.
ps- that hoodie (or as adelaide would say, hooder) is making me super nostalgic too.
girlfriend, i am the queen of my kids play with inappropriate things ;)
