my little leighton gale is 15 months old!
i'm pretty sure i say this every time,
but i seriously cannot believe how fast she is growing.
it seems as if the past three months have brought a lot of changes in our little girl.

weight...22 pound 11 ounces...50th percentile
length...31 3/4 inches...90th percentile
head circumference...18 1/3 inches...60th percentile
don't feel like you have to read all of this...it's mostly for our family records.
sKiLLs
*climbing...of course since she could move she's been a climber, but she has recently started standing on everything. today we had our first busted lip as she fell out of a very flimsy lawn chair.
*talking...she is babbling away and she knows exactly what she is saying even if we have no idea. she will repeat words that we say and her word list that she will say without prompting consists of mama, dada, daddy, up {which she uses for up and down}, ice {can mean ice, water or bite}, eyes {sounds just like ice}, hi {for hi and bye}, yeah, papa.
*helping...she loves to clean. using the swiffer or the vacuum is her favorite. she also helps put laundry away and wipes things off. she is a little imitator. it is hilarious {and a little scary} how she will copy exactly how we do something or what we say.
*sleep...the girl is a great sleeper. she sleeps from 7 to 7 or 7:30 every morning and takes one, two hour nap everyday.
*eating...leighton can eat. there are not many things she will not eat. her favorites are any fruit or veggie, raisins, pickles, condiments {she loves to dip}, mac and cheese. lately we've been making smoothies most days. she loves to help make them and she sucks those things down!
*identifying...she can point to her tongue, teeth, nose, eyes, ears, hair, fingers, toes, tummy, belly button.
*hugs and kisses...she loves to snuggle, give hugs and kisses. if you ask for a kiss she walks around making a smacking noise.
*singing...she loves music and singing. her favorite songs are itsy bitsy spider and if you're happy and you know it.

*messy...holy moly, we have entered the destructive stage. i only thought she was messy before. her favorite thing to do now is pull everything out of drawers, toy baskets, bookshelves, whatever.
*separation anxiety...miss leighton is quite the mama's girl. screams her head off when i leave. and no, i don't prolong the good-byes or anything like that.
we feel so very lucky that the Lord has given us the privilege of being leighton's parents.
she makes us laugh all the time
and definitely keeps us on our toes.
i have never experienced anything more rewarding than watching you grow up leighton.
we love you!

Thanks for the update on little miss leighton. She is getting so grown up now. The pic of her is just darling. Can hardly wait to see you 3 in a few weeks. Have a great weekend and remember we love you.
cutie patutie...I love that she's a cleaner! That's my girl!
gosh, time just flies. you're right. hug that peanut. she'll be 16 in a minute and won't allow such nonsense.
Oh Leighton you make me smile and laugh. I love those little curls!
