MiMi

have i ever mentioned that i have the best mom in the world?
well it's true.
i do.
her and my dad drove through the night to get to kansas city as soon as i went into labor with amelia.
it's a ten hour drive.
they arrived at the hospital at 6 am
and were the first ones to meet miss amelia ann.
my mom {mimi} has been here taking care of us for the past 10 days.

she left yesterday.
tear.
okay, tears {plural}.
there were lots of tears on my part when she left.
she cooked numerous meals while she was here.
she cleaned.
boy oh boy did she clean.
cleaning is actually her spiritual gift, so don't feel too bad for her.
she was serving the Lord.
she actually moved the couch and vacuumed behind and under it {including the cushions!}
she played with leighton.
nonstop, she played with leighton.

she loved on amelia.
mimi and amelia have a special bond.
they share the same middle name.
we wanted miss amelia ann to be named after someone she could look up to.
my mom loves the Lord and loves her family.
she is cheerful and energetic and loves to serve others.
anyone that has met my mom can testify to the fact that she is incredibly sweet.
she calls everyone hon or babe {seriously...even people she doesn't know}
my mom is amazing.
we pray that amelia follows in her footsteps.

judy, mom, mimi.
words will never be able to express how thankful we are for you.
you are truly a blessing.

Oh Kristin, what a blessing that your mom got to stay so long! She's a wonderful mom, and a kind, loving, genuine lady! I see so many of your mom's good qualities in you and Leighton and Amelia are fortunate to have two great ladies to look up to! I'll be praying for you as you adjust to your new normal. Miss seeing you!

What an incredible legacy/namesake Amelia has been given. Your mom is super sweet. Thinking about you during this adjustment without her. You will do great.

Such a wonderful tribute to your mom. Yes, she is all of those things you mentioned. We all love her!!! The pics of Judy with the girls is so cute. Glad she and Leighton had such a good time together. In a few years you will have to let the girls come to A. for a visit so we can all enjoy them. Look forward to Thanksgiving and meeting my 8th great grand. Love to all.
