*talking...leighton has always been more physical than verbal, but in the past few months she is talking up a storm. lots of phrases and lots of repeating what we say. it is hilarious! my favorites
'i yuv you mommy!'
'oh my!'
*comprehension...it amazes me how much leighton understands! she has become such a little helper and loves to get things for me, throw things away, set the table, and more. it is actually pretty darn helpful.
*memory...it's so funny to me that she recognizes and remembers things that we have only done or talked about once or twice. if i say we are going to the grocery store, she immediately says 'neigh neigh'. {there is an automatic horse there she rides everytime.}
if we drive anywhere near little ceasars, she says 'pizza'. {maybe we ate a few too many hot and ready pizzas the past few months!}
*miss athletic!...she is still quite the physical child. she can climb anything, kick or throw a ball, and she runs pretty darn fast. she loves to go for walks, especially if she can take her stroller and baby. her new favorite trick is to push her stroller and let it roll all the way down the driveway.

*naps...she used to be such a good little two to three hour napper. now we're lucky to get an hour and a half in. so annoying!
*obeying right away...it didn't take long for her to learn that when i'm nursing or rocking amelia she can get away with a lot more.

leighton is such a precious, joyful, spirited little girl!
she is so much fun to be around and keeps all of us on our toes.
